About me
I began my journey in technology in 2014, studying Computer Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I graduated with First Class Honours. During my early years, I worked as a freelancer, building websites and landing pages. That hands-on experience sparked a lasting passion for frontend development and user-focused interfaces.
Today, I serve as Director of Engineering at Datawise Data Engineering LLC, where I lead engineering teams and drive technical excellence across modern, high-impact products. Over the years, I’ve evolved into a frontend-focused engineering leader with a strong emphasis on scalable architecture, performance, and maintainable codebases.
My core expertise lies in the React ecosystem, with extensive experience in JavaScript and TypeScript for building complex web applications. I work heavily with Next.js, focusing on modern frontend patterns such as SSR, SSG, routing strategies, state management, and frontend performance optimization. I’m deeply familiar with building design systems and production-grade interfaces using frameworks like Material UI, Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI.
While frontend engineering is my primary focus, I maintain a solid understanding of backend concepts, including RESTful APIs, data modeling, and database interactions, allowing me to collaborate effectively across full-stack teams. I work closely with designers and product stakeholders, bridging the gap between design and engineering to deliver polished, user-centric experiences.
I also have experience in mobile development using React Native, Flutter and native technologies like Swift, but my specialization and professional focus remain on building modern, scalable frontend platforms for the web.
